Terms & Conditions

Read the i-mode® terms and conditions

1. Use of i-mode from O2 is subject to browsing and download charges, on a per Megabyte (MB) basis with a minimum charge per session of 1 pence.

2. You will be able to subscribe to content partners' services via your i-mode device. Once subscribed, you will be charged for these services automatically each month unless you unsubscribe. Content partners services will be subject to separate terms and conditions provided by each content partner.

3. You can unsubscribe to content partner's services at any time via content partners sites on your i-mode device. You must do this at least 48 hours prior to the end of your monthly subscription if you do not wish to be charged for the next month.

4. Once you unsubscribe your access to that particular content partner's subscription service will cease immediately and you will lose any remaining unused subscription

5. If you return a device to O2 for a refund for any reason, there will be no refund given for any subscriptions commenced. This does not affect your statutory rights.

6. The minimum period for subscriptions is one month

7. Please note that you will not be able to browse or download WAP based services for example O2 Active, O2 postcards and WAP based on i-mode devices. It is your responsibility to check handset compatibility before requesting such services. No refunds will be given. This does not affect your statutory rights.

8. If you are a Pay & Go customer a minimum balance of 60p is required to commence a session. If your balance is insufficient to pay for a subsequent month's subscription, access to that service will be blocked and O2 will try one more time 24 hours later to take funds. If there is still insuffi cient balance you will be automatically unsubscribed from that service. You can re-subscribe in the normal way once you have topped up a sufficient amount.

9. Please note that all i-mode® sites you visit are provided by third parties and O2 can not take responsibility for their content or any transactions carried out on these sites.

Browse and Download Bolt Ons - general terms

1. The Browse and Download 2MB Bolt On provides 2 Megabytes (2MB) of GPRS WAP and/ or i-mode browse and downloading for £3.00 per month.

2. The Browse and Download 4MB Bolt On provides 4 Megabytes (4MB) of GPRS WAP and/ or i-mode browse and downloading for £5.00 per month.

3. Browse and Download Bolt Ons allowances apply to use in the UK only.

4. Unused allowance will not be rolled over from one month to the next.

5. Any GPRS WAP or i-mode Browsing used in excess of the Bolt On allowance will be charged at £3 per MB whilst in the UK, or at the appropriate roaming rate if abroad.

6. Maximum of one Browse and Download Bolt On can be added to your mobile at any one time.

7. Browse and Download Bolt Ons applies to GPRS WAP and not Circuit Switched WAP. You must have a GPRS handset and your SIM must be GPRS enabled in order to use the Browse and Download Bolt Ons.

8. If the distance selling the regulations apply, once your Bolt On is activated you will not be able to cancel under Regulations. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

10. O2 reserves the right to amend or withdraw any Browse
Browse and Download Bolt Ons at any time. In these circumstances resonable notice will be provided to customers who have opted in to a Bolt On.

Pay & Go Browse and Download Bolt Ons

1. You must have a minimum of 60 pence on your handset balance in order to make a GPRS connection.

2. To OPT IN to a Browse and Download Bolt On send a text message containing the keyword "BROWSING 2" or "BROWSING 4" to 21300 or call free on 2425 from your O2 mobile.

3. One month minimum term applies. To OPT OUT send a text message containing the keywords "BROWSING OFF" to 21300 at least 48 hours before the next payment is due or alternatively call free on 2425 from your O2 mobile.

4. You may OPT IN or OPT OUT of the service at anytime. However the minimum charge per month is the monthly fee for the Bolt On. No refunds will be given.

5. Please note Browse and Download Bolt Ons cannot be used in conjunction with the WAP 500 Bolt On.

7. New or existing Pay & Go customers purchasing or upgrading to an O2 i-mode handset are entitled to 5MB of free i-mode browsing & downloading.

>Pay Monthly Browse and Download Bolt Ons

1. Browse and Download Bolt Ons are available to Pay Monthly customers who connect to one of the following calling plans: O2 25, O2 50, O2 100, O2 200, O2 250, O2 400, O2 500, O2 600, O2 Max, O2 Leisure Time Plus, O2 Leisure Time All. The names of O2's featured calling plans vary according to certain service providers.

2. O2 Bolt Ons are available through participating service providers only.

3. By subscribing to a Browse and Download Bolt On at point of connection to O2, you agree to subscribe for a minimum term of six months. During these six months you can move to a higher priced Bolt On but not a lower priced Bolt On. For existing O2 customers taking a Browse and Download Bolt On after the point of connection, a one month minimum term applies. To Opt In or Opt Out of one of the O2 Messaging Bolt Ons contact your service provider.

4. The Browse and Download Bolt On can be used for i-mode or O2 Active usage, or any combination.

5. Bolt On allowances are decremented before standard inclusive calling plan allowances.
